What is the Nova App model selector?
The model selector lets you choose the AI model you want to use for a conversation. Different models may be better suited to tasks such as writing, coding, research, analysis, creative work or everyday questions.
How do I select a model?
Open a chat in Nova.
Tap the model name at the top of the screen.
Review the models currently available to you.
Select a model to start or continue your conversation.
Depending on your account and current availability, the model selector may include:
GPT-6 Astra
Gemini 3.8 Flash
Gemini 3.1 Pro
Claude Opus 5
Claude Sonnet 5
Grok 4.6
DeepSeek V4 Pro
DeepSeek V4 Flash
Why do the available models change?
Nova regularly adds, updates or replaces models as AI providers release new versions. The models shown to you may depend on:
Your subscription plan
Your device and app version
Your country or region
Temporary model availability
Your current usage limits
The features supported by each model
The model selector in the app shows the latest options available for your account.
Which models require Nova PRO?
Some models may be available with free access, while more advanced models may require Nova PRO. A PRO label or upgrade message will appear when a subscription is required.
Check the information shown beside the model before selecting it.
Do all models support the same features?
No. File uploads, image understanding, web search, audio, video and other tools may not be supported by every model.
Nova shows the supported features and any applicable limits in the model selector or chat interface. If a feature is unavailable, choose another supported model.
You can switch models whenever the option is available, subject to your plan and current usage limits.
